Asunorei (nickname: Rei-chan) is an original character created in December 2022. She is characterized by a cool, refreshing appearance based on white and blue tones, as well as a neutral and unassuming personality. She was created with the image of a presence that gently accompanies us in our daily lives—even while possessing a certain clumsiness that prevents her from being completely open and honest. Rei-chan first appeared on X under the name “Free Icon-chan,” but she quickly became a beloved character among many people and began appearing in various places—from social media icons to theme illustrations for other creators’ music videos. This book compiles the illustrations of Asuno Rei that have been released as free icons on social media and elsewhere, documenting her journey as an archive.
